Greetings!

Sluggish bowel function is a primary factor in many health problems including: fatigue, headaches, chronic respiratory problems, skin rashes, insomnia, poor memory, and chronic pain conditions such as fibromyalgia and arthritis.

For most people they tend to separate one part of the body from the rest. If I have a headache it must be caused by a pain in the head or neck. If I am having respiratory infections I should treat the lungs. In reality the body is completely interconnected and symptoms appearing in one location may, and often do, have their origins in other areas.

What I have found over the years is that toxins building up in the bowels and leaking back into the blood will clog up the liver and recycle and deposit into tissues causing pain and dysfunction.

Improving your intestinal and liver health will have far reaching benefits including:
  • Better energy
  • Clearer thinking
  • Better sleep
  • Improved muscle/Fat ratio
  • Losing excess fat
  • Healthier skin and hair
  • Reduced risk of chronic illness
  • Reduced pain

In the video clip below I review some important principles for supporting healthy bowel function.

Enjoy,

Jim

Constipation Underlying Causes and solutions

The most common causes of constipation are:
  1.  Dehydration
  2. Magnesium deficiency
  3. Candida or Parasite infection
  4. Poor digestion, especially protein digestion
  5. Stress
  6. Inadequate fiber intake
  7. Inadequate liver bile flow
  8. Excess sugar or carbohydrate consumption.
  9. Toxic metal accumulation

Top suggestions to alleviate constipation:
  • Always try to drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces of pure water per day. If  you weigh 150 pounds that would be 75 ounces of water per day.
  • Make sure your magnesium levels are adequate. Either experiment with taking 200-800 mg. per day or get a Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis (HTMA) to determine your magnesium levels and your calcium/magnesium ratio.
  • Take a high quality probiotic for beneficial flora
  • Eat a diet high in fresh fruits and vegetables, try to eat at least 3 or 4 times more vegetables than fruits.
  • Eat foods and take supplements to enhance bile flow including bitter greens such as dandelion greens, kale and collard greens. Also, Lecithin and the herb milk thistle will help liver flush bile.
  • Periodically do a 3-7 day colon cleanse with high quality colon cleansing formulas such as Oxypowder.
