Rhea Lana's of New Orleans
Rhea Lana's of New Orleans is Just 8 Days Away!
Consignor Spotlight:
Carley Alexander
carley
Carley is a full-time student and a stay-at-home mom to two children, ages 2 and 10 months, as well as a lazy but lovable golden retriever. This sale will be Carley's third to consign and shop at Rhea Lana's of New Orleans -- quite a feat, considering that she drives from her home in Poplarville, Miss., for each sale!

"I have to say I was skeptical at first. Consignment shopping was usually more like a 'dig' for me - digging for the unstained, unfaded, untorn, worth-my-time items. However, I signed up to be a consignor on the Rhea Lana's website and entered my items. When I dropped my items off at check-in I was immediately impressed at the organization of the area and the way they looked over every item with a fine-toothed comb, pulling all the items that 'didn't fit the bill.' I can't even begin to tell you how much easier this made shopping! There were hundreds of boutique, brand name items for GREAT prices, and they were all in amazing condition.

"That first fall sale sold me on the Rhea Lana's experience and I have been a loyal RLNO consignor AND customer ever since! I look forward to each sale. I get to clean out my children's closet, make 70% off their gently used items, purchase whole new wardrobes for them at incredibly low prices, and I get to indulge in retail therapy without breaking the bank! I also get a night (or 2) away from the house to hang out with other moms by volunteering.

"Volunteering has become just as exciting as shopping for me. I use volunteering as a 'Girls night out' and as a way to shop before anyone else! I could go on and on about this sale. As someone who has shopped every consignment sale, annual and storefront, within a 100 mile radius of my home I can honestly say that Rhea Lana's is THE best, hands down. It is well worth the hour and fifteen minute drive! ... 8 days to go until RLNO Fall 2011, and I can't wait!!!"

Greetings!

The Rhea Lana's of New Orleans consignment event is just 8 days away, but there's still plenty of time to consign and enter items online. The deadline is Sunday, July 31 at midnight. We've provided below consignor tips to help you prepare your items and make MORE MONEY, too!
Consignor Tips
Cute Clothing From Rhea Lana's

If you missed these tips on our Facebook page...

1) Did you know you can earn 75% (vs. 70%) of your items sold at Rhea Lana's if you refer 3 new consignors, or 80% if you refer 5 or more? Earning more money could be easier than you think! Try telling your friends on Facebook about Rhea Lana's to get referrals and earn more money.

2) Find the accessories that match the outfits you are consigning, such as socks and bows. These items add a lot to an outfit and will make your clothes more appealing to shoppers. Pin the accessories to the clothes, or put them in a small Ziploc bag and attach to the hanger.

3) Put masking tape on the bottom of your shoes and label them with your CONSIGNOR NUMBER AND THE PRICE. Place your string tag ON the shoes. Then place the shoes in Ziploc bags and voila, you're ready to enter them!

4) Unless you really want to bring something back home after the sale, mark your items to go half off. Your profit with go up, you'll bring less home, and you won't have to deal with it after the sale!

5) If you have toys/strollers/bedding with multiple parts, label the parts "1 of 3","2 of 3", "3 of 3", and your consignor number. This will help if parts get separated. (Masking tape works well for labeling the items.)

6) Choose one place in your house to keep the items you are consigning. Day by day when you can... hang everything, sort by size in piles, pin tags on your items, then enter your items into our easy online system. Husbands will soon learn that piles of items twice a year in preparation for Rhea Lana's sales mean you'll be receiving BIG CHECKS!

7) Don't forget about your high quality household items such as sofas, tables, desks, decor and bedroom furniture. Also in HIGH demand are your cribs, toddler beds, changing tables, pack-n-plays, activity centers, high chairs, strollers, Little Tykes and Power Wheels. We have lots of moms-to-be that will be looking specifically for these items.

8) PREP and ENTER your LARGE ITEMS FIRST! This includes toys (indoor & outdoor), strollers, pack & plays, high chairs, etc. Remember, these are your BIGGEST $$ makers!

9) Download our Consignor Book and Helpful Photos.

10) Sign up to be a consignor now and SHOP EARLY at our Private Pre-Sale on Tuesday, Aug. 2!
