SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT:

All Aboard! Brightline West Breaks Ground on First True High-Speed Rail Line in the U.S.

(LAS VEGAS – April 22, 2024) – Today, U.S. Department of Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg was joined by California and Nevada representatives, Brightline West officials, labor groups and a strong contingency from the Inland Empire to celebrate the historic start of construction of the first true high-speed rail line in the U.S.


Connecting Los Angeles to Las Vegas, the 218-mile, all-electric passenger rail line will hit speeds of up to 200 mph and is expected to be in service in time for the LA 2028 Summer Olympics.


Cucamonga Station outreach partners, who are working together to create awareness and highlight how the multi-modal station in Rancho Cucamonga will transform transportation connectivity and serve as an economic driver of the region, attended the groundbreaking to show their support.


Congratulations to Brightline West, the U.S. Department of Transportation and all the project partners – we are looking forward to welcoming you to San Bernardino County and collaborating on the new Cucamonga Station!
