EBPS 2022 Senior Stroll
Seniors walked in their gowns past the town common where families gathered to take photos, then headed to the Mitchell School, the Central School, and back to the JSHS to celebrate with staff and students throughout the entire district. Congrats to the class of 2022 and the many who shared in the excitement today as plenty of cars stopped or honked and many younger students had made signs and high fived the seniors!

Finance Committee Members Needed!!

Currently, the East Bridgewater Finance Committee has three vacancies on its seven-member Committee. The purpose of the Finance Committee is to make recommendations to the Town Meeting on the annual Town budget and all articles that require an appropriation. The Finance Committee reviews each department's budget in detail and holds hearings on Town Meeting appropriation articles. In conjunction with the Town Administrator, the Finance Committee integrates revenue and expense projections to present a balanced budget to Town Meeting. The Finance Committee also votes on funding requests from the Reserve Fund and approves line-item transfers within a department or between two departments. Meetings are held at Town Hall, usually on a monthly schedule, but more frequently in the months before the Annual Town Meeting in May.

Residents interested in serving on the East Bridgewater Finance Committee can visit the Town’s web site at: Click Here, complete the Application for Appointment, and e-mail it to Rebecca Johnson at rjohnson@eastbridgewaterma.gov or deliver it to the East Bridgewater Board of Selectmen’s office at 175 Central St.

Connection is Why We are Here:

There are some people, who carry just so-o-o much wisdom. I search out Brené all the time because I struggle so in relationships. So I share her now, in case her words can help any of you, dear readers.

“You are imperfect, you are wired for struggle, but you are worthy of love and belonging.”
~ Brené Brown

“I define connection as the energy that exists between people when they feel seen, heard, and valued; when they can give and receive without judgment; and when they derive sustenance and strength from the relationship.” ~ Brené Brown

“Because true belonging only happens when we present our authentic, imperfect selves to the world, our sense of belonging can never be greater than our level of self-acceptance.”
~ Brené Brown

“Vulnerability sounds like truth and feels like courage. Truth and courage aren't always comfortable, but they're never weakness.” ~ Brené Brown
Have a great week of connection.
~ Jacquie
