A hearty congratulations to all the families with graduates out there! No doubt you are so proud of their hard work and achievements, and excited for the next chapter in their lives.

Supporting our children and students is very important to me. Having raised four daughters, I’m pretty familiar with the struggles of educating our young people and setting them on a path to success. When I ran in 2022, I promised to protect our children and schools, and that’s what I’ve done.

Since I was elected in 2022: 

1. We made the largest investment in a decade in K-12 Connecticut public schools.
2. We brought taxpayer dollars back to the district for our students’ needs, including $70 million combined for the reconstruction of Roxbury Elementary and Central Middle schools.
3. We made financial literacy a part of the high school curriculum, so that our students can make informed financial decisions as adults.

As legislators, our job is to provide all the resources our students need to succeed. As long as I serve as your representative, you can count on me to continue fighting to make sure all of our students’ educational needs are met.
