Mr. Murray joined the Office of the President in 2019 as an Administrative Coordinator and later transitioned to the role of Confidential Executive Associate. His new role is an indication of his professionalism and the value he brings to the College.
With a background spanning over 13 years, William has provided operational, administrative, and strategic support to senior leaders at both educational and government institutions. He worked under the Senior Vice President of Administration and Finance at Bronx Community College before joining the Office of the Bronx Borough President prior to his tenure at Lehman.
William holds a B.A. '15 and an MSEd '19 from Lehman College. As a former CUNY student, he has been twice awarded study abroad scholarships, allowing him to delve into topics such as global citizenship in Salzburg, Austria, and human rights and transitional justice at Bolivarian University of Chile in Santiago – journeys that developed a greater capacity for advocating for social and environmental justice, as well as equality.
During his time supporting the Office of the President, William has played a pivotal role in various operational initiatives that have ensured continuity during periods of reorganization and change. He has successfully managed the executive agendas of two Presidents, overseeing high-visibility appearances, stakeholder meetings, and speaking engagements.
William Murray's commitment to excellence and his ability to navigate complex environments make him an invaluable asset to the President's Office and the institution as a whole.
