Kaytlyn Goldson - East Mecklenburg High School
Kaytlyn Goldson from East Mecklenburg High School is one of those rare students who seems to be able to do it all – juggling a demanding IB class schedule at East Meck with dual-enrollment (for college credit) classes at CPCC, along with a school sport (volleyball), a part-time job, participating in many CIS opportunities, and her personal life – all of this while maintaining a 4.4 GPA and being named a Top 20 Senior at East Meck! Justice Crawford - Myers Park High School
CIS senior Justice Crawford is practically a “Renaissance Man”…. one minute you’ll find him running lightning-speed sprints on the school track, the next you’ll see him onstage accepting the top Orchestra award at Myers Park High School (he plays the viola). Then again, you can often find him clicking the keys of his laptop as he learns the latest tips and tricks of coding and cybersecurity. Read More

We are excited to share this video of our Difference Makers ® CLT trip to Washington, D.C.! Difference Makers ® CLT is a leadership development program for CIS students and community members. A trip together to our nation's capital for each year's cohort has been a hallmark of the program, but the trip was cancelled for the past two years due to the pandemic. This year's group was thrilled to learn that the trip was given the "green light" for 2022! It was an amazing experience for all involved... View the video and read this article to learn more about Difference Makers® CLT. Special thanks to the Gambrell Foundation for their generous support of this unique program!

CIS-Charlotte FY 2020-21 Annual Report
|
Our FY 2020-21 Annual Report is available online. If you haven't seen it, please check it out! We are most grateful to the hundreds of individual donors, foundations, companies, partners, and volunteers who supported our work - and most importantly, our students - during 2020-21.

|
As this school year comes to a close and we celebrate our students' successes, thank you for considering a gift to CIS. Our Site Coordinators go all "IN" to ensure their students have what they need to graduate and succeed in life - and our Site Coordinators are able to do that thanks to your generous support. Together, we’re empowering kids to reach their goals IN schools and beyond. Thank you for being all IN for kids!
