Moving Together in Spirit as a Conference

CONFERENCE MODERATOR MESSAGE

Spring greetings. I hope everyone had a reflective Lent and a joyous Easter. Time seems to have sped by in the past year. It has been a year since Rev. Dr. Tony Clark joined us as our Transitional Conference Minister. Tony has traveled the Conference getting to know us and we have gotten to know him as well. Tony has expressed a desire to be our called Conference Minister. Such a possibility was provided for in our call agreement with him. Your conference Board of Directors has decided to explore calling Tony as our settled Conference Minster. We have consulted with the Rev. Dr. Diane Weible, the UCC’s Conference Minister Search Coordinator to assist us in this process. (In the spirit of transparency, I feel obligated, and proud, to inform you that I have known Diane for over 40 years! We are both graduates of UCC related Drury College). We will be forming a search committee to assist us in discerning where the Holy Spirit is leading us as a Conference on this decision. Please forward any nominations, including self-nominations for the search committee to me at hank_branom@msn.com. It is my hope that we will hold a vote at our annual meeting, which will be held in Billings on September 26-29. Please feel free to contact me or any of the Board of Directors with any thoughts you may have as we move forward in this process.
