Community organizations receive grants totaling $1.1 million

The Foundation announced today that 10 community organizations across the region will receive grants totaling more than $1.1 million. Funding will advance policies and practices that address disparities and create more inclusive communities.

“The pandemic has revealed significant gaps in our transportation, housing and food systems that disproportionately affect older people and communities of color,” said Nora Moreno Cargie, president of Point32Health Foundation and vice president for corporate citizenship at Point32Health. “To create communities that work for everyone, policies should honor and reflect community voices.”

Building on the values of service and giving, Point32Health Foundation works with communities to support, advocate and advance healthier lives for everyone. These grants advance systems-level change to remove barriers responsible for inequities in New England communities.

Reminder: Register for a community listening session

Solutions to community challenges mostly come from those closest to the issue. That is why your perspectives and input are so important

Point32Health Foundation is working with Health Resources in Action (HRiA) to facilitate six community listening sessions in February.

The goal for these virtual sessions is to listen to and learn from community. What you share will help our team gain greater understanding of community priorities.

The 90-minute listening sessions will be facilitated by HRiA. Use the links below to register.

We are committed to removing barriers to participation. These listening sessions will be conducted in English, however engagement from all is important to us. If you have specific needs to better support your participation (e.g., translation services, financial support, accessibility aids and services, etc.), please let us know in the registration form at least two weeks prior to the session. We will strive to accommodate your needs. Our consultants are available to conduct more personalized conversations in other languages.
