Dear Friends of the Women & Family Life Center,

As we enjoy the warmth of July, I want to remind everyone that summer is a season of energy, renewal, and inspiration.

In the spirit of summer, I urge you to prioritize self-care. Take time to recharge and enjoy the beauty of the season. Whether it's exploring new hobbies, spending quality time with loved ones, or simply reflecting on your goals, these moments are not just leisure, they are crucial for your well-being. They not only rejuvenate us but also bring fresh perspectives and new ideas.

As we look ahead, July offers many opportunities for growth and innovation. We have exciting initiatives planned that will enhance our services and strengthen our community. The long days and sunshine fuel our creativity and drive, can ignite our passions, and can drive us to new heights. The Women & Family Life Center team has already been hard at work preparing for the fall programs.

I hope everyone enjoys their summer, empower yourselves, and remember that each one of you plays a crucial role in our collective success. Let's continue to achieve great things together.

Nothing is impossible,

This month we are highlighting the importance of financial independence and the struggles that economic barriers impose on those experiencing domestic violence and those who have survived it. Domestic violence is a pattern of coercive, controlling behavior that can include financial abuse, a common tactic used by people who choose to abuse through control and isolation of their partner. At the Center, our participants have the opportunity to meet with a volunteer financial consultant through our Financial Consults program at no cost to them.
