The Bay Aquatic Park is Getting a Makeover

As a beloved amenity for Broomfield residents since 1991, it is time for a refresh! The updates will include the replacement of the main leisure/lap pool, two tower slides and splashdown pool, the family “otter” slide and the play feature near the zero-depth pool entry. Other improvements will include improved access and circulation, new lighting, a new public address system and more shade structures. A new mechanical building will support the upgrades and feature a reservable 'party deck' on top!

  • The 2024 season will close on Aug. 12
  • The 2025 season is expected to open in early July

Enterprise Funds and Recommended Utility Rate Increases Public Forums

Learn more and ask questions about proposed utility rate increases by attending the Enterprise Funds Forum on July 25 from 6-7:30 p.m. in the Broomfield City Council Chambers. Broomfield's Water fund, Sewer Fund and Water Reclamation Fund (collectively the Utility Funds) operate as “Enterprise” funds. The rates and fees within each fund should be set to cover the costs of providing services to customers. Due to increasing costs such as regulations and unfunded mandates, unprecedented inflation, infrastructure maintenance costs and staffing needs, recommended rate increase proposals from Broomfield staff will be coming before the Broomfield City Council.
