Dear Neighbor,

Thank you for joining us for another week in review!

Two weeks ago, we joined our Bronx community for a street co-naming to remember the life and legacy of Bronx legend, Venancio "Benny" Catala Jr. Thank you to everyone who joined us for this celebration. We also hosted an NYC Hiring Hall at Hostos Community College to fill numerous vacancies in our NYC agencies. If you or someone you know missed the hiring hall, click here for more information on employment opportunities.

Last week, we were in every part of the borough for National Night Out joining with the NYPD, residents, elected officials, and community leaders for celebrations in neighborhoods throughout the Bronx. Thank you to everyone who came out and showed their support.

Today, our team was in the West Bronx for an announcement that Governor Hochul and Mayor Adams are investing $200 million in the Kingsbridge Armory. This is a significant capital investment in the future of the Bronx and the largest armory in the nation. I want to thank the Governor and Mayor for their support and continued commitment to our borough.

Lastly, our Bronx Summer Concert Series is still going strong! We were at Bronx Park East and now we are traveling to St. Mary`s Park this Sunday from 1-5 PM. Make sure to invite your friends, family, and loved ones for another afternoon of fun and music as we celebrate the 50th anniversary of hip-hop in the Boogie Down. We hope to see you on Sunday and at all the other hip-hop 50 events this week.

As always, if you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact our office at 718-590-3500 or email us at webmail@bronxbp.nyc.gov.

In partnership,

Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson
