CAC/IMAC Doc Premiered on 11/6 to Full House

On Wednesday November 6, local Emmy-nominated filmmaker Steven Taub presented his new film IMPRESARIOS AND VISIONARIES for its world premiere at the Cinema Arts Centre. The room was filled with friends and fans, old and new, to see the story of two iconic Huntington cultural institutions, the Cinema Arts Centre and the Inter-Media Arts Center.
This new documentary explores the positive influence of the arts in our community by focusing on the contributions of CAC co-founder Vic Skolnick and IMAC co-founder Michael Rothbard.

The film includes in-depth interviews with IMAC co-founder Kathie Bodily, CAC co-founder Charlotte Sky, CAC Co-Director Dylan Skolnick, filmmaker/actor Ed Burns, musician David Bromberg, social activist/poet Sandy Chapin, WFUV radio's John Platt and many others. The evening was hosted by Dylan Skolnick and included opening remarks from Charlotte Sky, Kathie Bodily, and Steven Taub. The screening was followed by a very warm and personal question and answer session and a reception.
Many audience members had been former patrons of the IMAC, former performers at the IMAC, and many long-time members and supporters of the Cinema Arts Centre. The IMAC and the CAC have stories that are parallel in so many ways, and were at the forefront of building the arts-rich community that has made Huntington a cultural destination.
