The Ninth Evidence-Based Pediatric Update

A wide range of diseases and conditions that affect children and adolescents cause significant mortality and morbidity. Clinicians are challenged on a daily basis to identify, diagnose, and treat these pediatric diseases and conditions, as well as to refer when necessary. This activity will highlight the latest diagnostic techniques and management strategies that impact the care of patients with common and complex pediatric disorders. Funding Opportunities

Community-Led, Health Equity Structural Intervention (CHESI) Initiative

The Office of Strategic Coordination, the Common Fund, within the Office of the Director (OD), has issued a research opportunity announcement (ROA) to solicit applications from community organizations in support of the goals of the Community Partnerships to Advance Science for Society (ComPASS) Program’s CHESI Initiative. To help prepare a Letter of Intent for this ROA, applicants are encouraged to watch a pre-recorded technical assistance presentation and view slides.

Letters of intent are due November 18.

New Jersey COVID-19 Information Hub: The State of New Jersey has put together a list of resources about the COVID-19 virus including testing sites, signs and symptoms, and FAQs about social services. 

You can find community-based and local COVID-19 testing site locations and hours here.

Middlesex County residents can register for a free COVID-19 test at sites throughout the county. Appointments required. The sites provide saliva-based test kits developed at Rutgers University.

Visit New Jersey’s COVID-19 Vaccine Registration site to pre-register for the vaccine. New Jersey's Covid-19 Vaccine Appointment Call Center can be reached at 855-568-0545.
