Community Letter From St. Johns County Administrator Joy Andrews

Join Us for the Fiscal Year 2025 Budget Workshop Series

Dear Residents of St. Johns County,

I am delighted to announce that we're pulling back the curtain on St. Johns County's inner operations, and you're invited to join us in the front row. This initiative isn't just about listening in; it's about actively shaping the decisions that impact our community.

We're launching our brand-new Fiscal Year 2025 Budget Workshop Series, representing a pivotal step in our commitment to open governance. Our aim is to provide you with unfiltered access to the dialogues among your County Operation staff as we plan for 2025. We want every voice to be heard and every perspective considered as we navigate the budgeting process for the upcoming fiscal year. This new Budget Workshop Series, from May 10 to May 20, is your direct access to the inner workings of County governance. From public safety to parks, economic development to health services, and everything in between, we'll delve into the details of balancing revenues and expenditures and address operational needs for fiscal year 2025—all broadcast live and recorded for your convenience.

Community involvement is at the heart of why we have opened up this process. Your insights and feedback are invaluable to us.

The workshops will be held at the St. Johns County Administration Building, located at 500 San Sebastian View, St. Augustine. We have arranged for limited seating in the conference room for in-person attendance and additional space in the County Auditorium where attendees can watch live on GTV.

For those who prefer to participate remotely, each of the 28 scheduled workshop sessions will be broadcast live and recorded for your convenience, allowing you to tune in from the comfort of your home or at our public broadcast locations throughout the County via GTV at www.sjcfl.us/GTV. A recording of each workshop will be available at www.sjcfl.us/GTV within three days of the session's completion.

Post-session, we will provide a dedicated email for you to ask further questions or provide additional feedback. Your input will directly shape my final budget recommendation to the Board of County Commissioners in July, ensuring that our budgetary allocations align with the needs and aspirations of our community.

I sincerely encourage you to join us as we work together to strengthen and enhance St. Johns County. Your participation is crucial to help design our operations, projects, and programs that affect us all.

For more information on workshop dates, topics, and how to get involved, please visit our website: www.sjcfl.us/2025Budget.

Thank you for your willingness to engage in this vital process. Your involvement is key to building a stronger, more vibrant future for St. Johns County. I look forward to your participation and insights.

Warm regards,

Joy Andrews

County Administrator
