Reading for the Future: Community Learning Sessions Summary & Review

November 2023

Achieve,

Thank you. Thank you for your active engagement in the Reading for the Future initiative work thus far.

As a backbone organization for community-led collective impact, Achieve Brown County convenes, facilitates and supports the efforts made by community members, non-profits, schools, government agencies, and businesses. Our role is to align our community around a common goal, and help to create framework for initiatives that cannot be accomplished by a single person or entity. We are stronger together.

In this email, we will summarize feedback and collective voice, share survey results, and outline next steps.

The content in this email is created for you as a Community Learning Session participant. We will be sending another email in December with more information about the sessions for those who were not able to attend.

Thank you once again for being an integral part of our Community Learning Sessions. We deeply appreciate your dedication and look forward to achieving great things together.

Prototypes Prioritized by the Sessions' Collective:

Achieve Brown County recognizes that the voice from our Community Learning Session was not fully reflective of the collective voice of our community. We are actively taking steps to connect with missing voices and required partnerships for prototype activation. We encourage you to notify us of missing community member or agency voice.

Next Steps:

Forging Action Teams

In the coming weeks, we will invite you to join one of our Collaborative Action Teams dedicated to shaping the future through the lens of our Priority Prototypes.

These teams will be the architects of change, convening every other month in 2024 for approximately two hours to ideate, innovate, and implement strategies that will redefine what's possible.

Your unique perspective, passion, and commitment are the driving force we need. Together, we can turn ideas into action. Join us in building a future we can all be proud of. The time for change is now, and it starts with you.
