ECTC's Advanced Manufacturing Accelerator Project has launched a VEX Robotics program to increase awareness among middle and high school students of the skills needed in high-demand careers.

ECTC's Human Services is now eligible for the Work Ready Kentucky Scholarship, meaning students can earn an associate in applied science or one of the program’s five certificates tuition free.

Current, new and prospective students invited to ECTC FAFSA Tailgate Party


ECTC is rolling out games, food and prizes for anyone who needs help completing financial aid forms for the Fall 2024 semester. ECTC’s FAFSA Tailgate Party is 3-7 p.m. July 23 at the Regional Postsecondary Center (RPC) on the Elizabethtown campus.

ECTC’s Marty Sutherland selected as KCTCS faculty regent


Marty L. Sutherland, professor of engineering and electronics technology at ECTC, was selected the new occupational, technical education faculty regent to the KCTCS Board of Regents.



Sutherland fills the vacated seat of Patsy Jackson, who was named interim president of Southeast Community and Technical College in April. Sutherland will serve out Jackson’s term that ends in September.

at Kids College


We were thrilled to welcome elementary and middle school students to ECTC Kids College! The camp, sponsored by Abound Credit Union, included Beginning Robotics, Baking Fun and Ag is for Everyone classes. We loved having them here to explore their interests and make summer memories on our campus!

ECTC awards more than $100K

in scholarships to high school students


ECTC has awarded 54 area high school seniors more than $108,000 in scholarships for the 2024-2025 school year. The scholarships, ranging in amounts from $500 to $2,400, were awarded based on various criteria, including academic achievement and area of study, among others.

Transfer pathway allows education student to earn bachelor's degree close to home


For Hannah Pence, ECTC and Western Kentucky University alumnus, the ability to stay close to home and earn a bachelor's degree was almost too good to be true.


“It was hard to wrap my head around the fact that I could get the same degree at the Elizabethtown campus that I could at a university,” she said.
