ECTC recognizes 2024 President’s Pathfinder Award recipient


Joe Prather received the 2024 ECTC President’s Pathfinder Award in recognition of his impact in the community and on the college. ECTC established the award to recognize college partners whose leadership has created paths to better lives throughout our region. ECTC President and CEO Dr. Juston Pate presented the award at the college's annual Community Breakfast.

We had a blast kicking off the Fall 2024 semester with WOW Week! Students enjoyed fun, food, music and an info fair that showcased the many resources available on campus and in the community. Thanks to all who came out!

Metallica Scholars Initiative continues for 5th year at ECTC


For the fifth year, ECTC has earned a place in the prestigious Metallica Scholars Initiative. Joining in 2020, the initiative’s second year, ECTC is the only Kentucky college included.

Educators learn about modern manufacturing through externship


Hear more about what educators in Meade and Grayson counties will take away from their experience in the ECTC Advanced Manufacturing Accelerator Project Externship. This summer, they spent a week working in manufacturing environments to learn about careers in the field, and see how they can transfer some lessons learned into their own classrooms. Participants in Meade County visited Nucor, and participants in Grayson County visited Byrd Tool and Mid-Park.

August is always an exciting time at ECTC. Our campuses come to life as

students from across our region take the next step in their journeys to better lives.


Some are here to complete the first two years of a bachelor’s degree before transferring to a four-year university. Some are pursuing high-demand careers in industries like healthcare, advanced manufacturing and computer information technology. Others are learning new skills to advance at their workplaces.
