Dear Marsh,

Yesterday, May 1, was the last day of classes at Boston University for spring 2024, and so marks for us at Marsh Chapel a change of seasons as well. This vibrant spring time brings welcome and exciting traditions in our May worship life—Holy Communion, This I Believe, Baccalaureate, and Memorial Sunday. What a privilege for me, for us, to have such a place, such a time, and such a community with whom to gather for Sunday worship! Then, beginning in June, we have the joy of welcoming our summer preachers—both our own fine colleagues here, and also several, many Methodists as it happens this year, from across the country. You will see the summer schedule, June, July, and August, included here in the newsletter. I am so very happy to have these fine voices preaching here, summer 2024, in our 18^th year of the Marsh Chapel National Preacher Series!

The Marsh Writers Collaborative with Doug Reeves

Join the next Marsh Writers Collaborative meeting on Saturday, May 4, from 10:00AM-12:00PM. Please bring your work in any form, from first draft to publication ready, and let the group tell you what they hear from the author. Spring and summer are great seasons for authors to let the beauty and inspiration of the seasons lead you to your next level of writing. I confess to feeling stuck sometimes and there is nothing like the brisk New England air to bring me back to the keyboard. We have members from around the world, including Asia and Europe. New members are always welcome.
