Enjoy golfing while helping raise scholarship money

The Rotary Club of Commerce City is pleased to announce our 31st Annual Golf Tournament will be held on Friday, July 26, 2024, at Todd Creek Golf Course. Our tournament is in partnership with the Adams 14 Education Foundation. Our mission is to provide scholarships to students in the Adams 14 School District with either a four-year college degree or, in some cases, attending trade school. For 30 years, Commerce City Rotary Foundation has provided scholarships to over 50+ students, and our golf tournament provides the fundraising, making it possible to share “The Gift of Education.” Your esteemed company's support as a sponsor for our tournament would be a true honor and a testament to your commitment to education and community. Even if you are unable to field golfers this year, we offer hole sponsorship opportunities that will prominently display your company logo or name, showcasing your support throughout the event, and on our printed programs for all golfers and on our social media sites. Your sponsorship, no matter the size, will significantly impact our ability to provide scholarships to deserving students. Our deadline for sponsorships and registration is Friday, July 12, 2024.

Donations sought for community backpack event

The Community Well-Being Division at the City of Commerce City is very excited to announce that we will be hosting our 2nd annual backpack event Saturday, July 13th from 1-3 P.M. at Templo Getsemani in partnership of 180 Community Church.

We will again be providing backpacks filled with supplies to underserved families in our community. We understand that other organizations will be holding similar events, and our intentions are not to duplicate services, but rather to join in on the effort to ensure that all children in our community start off their school year with the supplies and support that they need. I am reaching out today to ask if any of our community organizations are interested in partnering by donating supplies for our event. Our hope is that with the collaboration of our community partners we will be able to put together backpacks filled with not only school supplies but, other necessities such as socks, underwear, shoes, hygiene items, hair cut vouchers, and free vaccine resources for children. We will be collecting backpacks, school supplies, and the other items mentioned from now until July 5th. Please let me know if you have interest in participating or if you have any suggestions of community partners that would be interested in partnering with us. To coordinate donation drop-offs, contact Roxzana Martinez, Community Well-Being Supervisor, at rmartinez@c3gov.com or 303-289-8168.
