Platte Valley Ambulance, SACFD train together for cardiac arrest management


Last week, our Platte Valley Ambulance Service crews teamed up with South Adams County Fire Department engine crews to practice transport crew integration for cardiac arrest management! This vital training is a key step in SACFD's journey to resume advanced life support level care. Our crews, stationed together in the firehouse, work side-by-side to deliver exceptional clinical care to Commerce City and South Adams County. This strong partnership has been praised by leadership, medical directors, and national EMS experts. Together, we're making a difference!

City issues RFPs


Request for Proposals for Community Garden Siting and Design


The City of Commerce City (“City”) is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors (“Respondents”) to enter into a landscaping design contract, as described in this Request for Proposals (“RFP”). The selected Respondent is expected to identify at least two (2) viable sites for a community garden within the City, located on City-owned property and provide design options for the garden, as more fully detailed in the Scope of Services section of this RFP (“Services”)

This RFP provides a general description of services anticipated, submittal requirements, outlines selection criteria and the selection process. A response to this RFP (“Proposal”) should serve as a complete approach to providing the services. Joint submittals are encouraged to ensure the ability to provide all services requested in this scope. Any proposed subcontractors/team members must be identified and their roles clearly defined in the Proposal.

The City intends to execute a contract with an anticipated notice to proceed date of July 8, 2024 with the selected Respondent (“Consultant”) on a non-exclusive basis for a term that encompasses the length of time the Services are anticipated to require, subject to annual appropriation. Any selected Respondent will be expected to enter into a Professional Services Agreement (Attachment A) with the City consistent with the terms of this RFP.

Submission requirements and deadlines are detailed in Section 6 of this RFP:

  • Questions regarding RFP requirements must be received by Alex Van Zante, Management Analyst II in writing at avanzante@c3gov.com by 5:00 PM MT on Friday, July 12, 2024.

Request for Proposals for Innovative Strategies to Promote Food Equity


The City of Commerce City (“City”) is soliciting proposals from qualified vendors (“Respondents”) to enter into an equitable and sustainable local food contract with the City as described in this Request for Proposals (“RFP”). The selected Respondent(s) will identify needs, solicit community feedback, and ultimately provide suggestions for the ideal format for a food equity program. The City’s goal is to create an equitable and sustainable local food system in Commerce City, primarily one that focuses on those most impacted by food and health inequities: Black, Indigenous, People of Color (BIPOC), immigrants, refugees, people with low incomes, youth, and elders. The purpose of this RFP is to identify existing barriers to equitable food through a needs assessment, meet with community members and partners to identify partnership opportunities, develop an outline for an equitable food program, and provide as more fully detailed in the Scope of Services section of this RFP (“Services”). Respondents should have demonstrated experience and expertise in food equity, specifically in the areas identified in the RFP, a track record of successful food management planning and experience working with communities in need.

Our tournament is in partnership with the Adams 14 Education Foundation. Our mission is to provide scholarships to students in the Adams 14 School District with either a four-year college degree or, in some cases, attending trade school. For 30 years, Commerce City Rotary Foundation has provided scholarships to over 50+ students, and our golf tournament provides the fundraising, making it possible to share “The Gift of Education.” Your esteemed company's support as a sponsor for our tournament would be a true honor and a testament to your commitment to education and community.
