To participate in the Commencement Ceremony, you must register via the Commencement Dashboard by the latest, 11:59pm on Sunday, May 5, 2024.

By completing this registration, you are confirming your participation in the ceremony as a graduate and reserving your guest tickets.

Please make sure you are using your John Jay STUDENT EMAIL username and password to log into the Commencement Dashboard.
Do you need to reset your password? Please proceed here, https://reset.jjay.cuny.edu, to reset your password and then try logging back into the Commencement Dashboard.
If the issue still persists and you are unable to access the Commencement Dashboard, please contact DOIT Help Desk at helpdesk@jjay.cuny.edu for them to support your troubleshooting needs.

Denied Access? Please review the information below to navigate next steps:

If your CUNYfirst graduation status is listed as Applied, you will receive an email notification to register in the dashboard once your status is updated to Pending.
If your CUNYfirst graduation status is listed as Denied, you need to contact the Registrar’s Office at registraraudit@jjay.cuny.edu.

If you have a Bursar hold, you will need to pay your tuition in full by 11:59pm on April 14, 2024. Please note that payment processing can have a delayed release of up to ten (10) business days. You will receive an email notification to register in the dashboard by the beginning on May. Please email bursar@jjay.cuny.edu with any questions regarding payment.

Apply for Graduation Deadlines - Summer 2024

Please review the information provided below and apply for graduation on CUNYfirst before the associated deadline for you.

Summer: May 1, 2024 (Spring 2024 Commencement ceremony)

If you have LESS than six credits or two courses in summer 2024 and wish to participate in the Spring 2024 Commencement ceremony, you must register for summer classes AND apply for graduation before May 1.

Summer: July 31, 2024 (Spring 2025 Commencement ceremony)

If you have MORE than six credits or two courses in the summer 2024, you must apply for graduation by July 31 and pay your tuition in full, you will be invited to participate in the Spring 2025 Commencement ceremony.

Lavender Celebration Invitation

The LGBTQ+ Resource Center is delighted to announce this year’s 8th annual Lavender Celebration which is scheduled for Thursday, May 2, 2024, during community hour. The Lavender Celebration is a ceremony dedicated to honoring graduating LGBTQIA+ students. It serves as a cultural celebration to recognize the achievements and contributions of students across gender identities, gender expressions and sexualities at the John Jay College of Criminal Justice. Participation in the Lavender Celebration is encouraged but not mandatory. Graduating students will receive a lavender cord and a graduation gift. You are welcome to invite your family, friends and loved ones to join us in celebration. After registering, you will receive the event location via email.
