Seeking Participants for this year's Shofar Corps

Thursday & Friday, 

October 3 & 4

Please register if you're interested in helping to ring in the new year by participating in our shofar blowing experience for either or both days. Previous experience is not necessary.

Please join us in welcoming Vanessa Diamond as a Youth Advisor for Richmond Or Chadash!

Vanessa recently graduated from UBC with a masters of science where she explored lung imaging in children with cystic fibrosis. She grew up in Richmond, attending RJDS for elementary school. During high school, she was introduced to USY and became very involved in the Vancouver chapter. She was chapter president and served on the regional executive board. After graduating university, she returned to Beth Israel where she spent 5 years as a youth advisor. She is now excited to be here at Beth Tikvah continuing to support Jewish youth!

In adherence with our security protocol, all visitors should contact the office at 604-271-6262 or by email at bethtikvah@btikvah.ca to join us for weekday services or Shabbat.

Guests will be required to bring photo ID. We look forward to welcoming you!

Join CJPAC and your fellow community members on Sunday, August 25th for a day of political volunteering on behalf of the party of your choice.  

In as little as two hours, you can do your part to show politicians and parties of all stripes that we show up.  

First-time volunteers are welcome, and training will be provided.

An exclusive Jewish community briefing for new(ish)comers to BC who are pro-Israel where CJPAC’s Managing Director, Emile Scheffel, will discuss:

The 2024 Jewish Federation Annual Campaign Opening is taking place on Thursday, September 12^th at 7:00 p.m. Tickets: $18.00 | $36.00 after August 15. Doors open at 6pm.

The suspect was wearing a white ball cap, a dark grey jacket, black shorts, and a surgical face mask at the time of the crime. Video released by VPD shows the man walking toward the front entrance of the synagogue with a bottle of liquid, then fleeing down the front steps after the fire was lit.

Police are also looking to speak to the driver of a beige or silver minivan that was seen in the area at the time of the crime.
