Sharing the Heart of God from the Heart of Downtown Macon
| |
Support the Children's Center Annual Fund | |
|
“I have a boo boo too!” As I led the kids to walk the labyrinth during chapel, one of the kids noticed a cut on my arm. He said he had a boo boo, too, and got sad. This led to a hug, a conversation about how Jesus heals our boo boos, and a high five. It’s beautiful to watch the kids here at the Children’s Center at Mulberry learn and grow, all because of the love they receive.
Now it’s our turn to invest in them. The Children’s Center has recently launched its first Annual Campaign, with a goal of raising $50,000 to help support the center. Your support helps generate revenue not only to support what tuition and grants do not cover, but also to help us dream together about how the Children’s Center can further foster healing for the broken places of life as they help us share the heart of God from the heart of downtown Macon.
Our director, Erin Darley, believes in our missional focus and is excited about the future:

"I am so excited to be back as a part of the Mulberry team! The Children's Center at Mulberry has had a special place in my heart since opening back in 2007. I felt called to return to The Children’s Center, to foster the high standard of care for which we are known. CCM is a ministry of the MSUMC known to offer a safe, loving and nurturing environment, facilitating children's growth and spiritual development. Your support helps our current initiatives to refurbish classrooms, order new materials, and offer additional training for our staff. In the future, we are looking toward offering additional services for parents as well as families within Mulberry Street UMC."

I hope you’ll join me in making a pledge and donating to support the Children’s Center! Checks may be made out to the church, with the memo line marked for CCM. Gifts can also be given online at mulberrymethodist.org/give, choosing the Children’s Center from the drop-down list. If you are not ready to initiate a payment just yet, please consider completing a pledge form that will allow us to track your pledge and follow up with a reminder in the future. A small amount paid monthly over a year can be just as impactful as a one-time payment, if not more. Use the pledge form to indicate if you would be willing to set that up (but do not want a credit card or bank account drafted automatically as online provides).
