Cherry Blossom Organ Concerts

Music is one of the best tools we have as Christians to experience a worshipful mindset. It is in this spirit that I invite each and every one of you to experience the organ concerts of the Cherry Blossom Festival Concert Series. The series will run from March 20 – 24, a Monday through Friday. We are blessed to have 5 organ concerts lined up with varied programs. The performers for this year’s Concert Series are as follows:

  • Monday, March 20: Jane Kimbrel, Director of Music Ministries and Organist, Perry United Methodist Church, Perry, GA
  • Tuesday, March 21: Gregory Hamilton, Music Director at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Macon, GA
  • Wednesday, March 22: Savannah Curro, Director of Music & Organist, St. Luke Episcopal Church, Hawkinsville, GA and student, Mercer University
  • Thursday, March 23: Ted Babbitt, Assistant Organist/Choirmaster, Christ Episcopal Church, Macon, GA and student, Mercer University
  • Friday, March 24: Zachary Golden, Organist, Mulberry Street United Methodist Church, Macon, GA

Thanks to the Macon Chapter of the American Guild of Organists for helping sponsor these concerts! From myself and all the other performers, we hope to experience this time of great music with you.

Sincerely,

Zach

Together we are sharing the heart of God...

Lent Daily Devotional

Lent in Plain Sight by Jill Duffield

Join us in reading Lent in Plain Sight: A Devotion through Ten Objects by Jill Duffield. We will study 10 ordinary objects that Jesus would have encountered on his way to Jerusalem. Sunday sermons and children’s lessons will focus on these same objects. You can purchase the book at a.co/d/gZ7ZxAa or through most online sellers.

New Realm Groups!

You are invited to join the Refrigerator Door & the Dinner Table!

We have started two new groups in Realm that are meant to be casual, open spaces for us all to share our highs and our lows - the moments we might pin to the fridge door and the moments we would share around the table. In this way, we can be in community with one another, offering support and sharing joys.

To join, search🔎 for the group name (Refrigerator Door or Dinner Table) and select "Join". Posts will appear in your Realm newsfeed. You will be able to post, like, and comment on each other's posts!

Palm Sunday is April 2, and the children will be processing in with palm leaves during 11:00 a.m. Sanctuary worship once again! We will gather in the courtyard at 10:45ish to hand out palms and the children will process into the sanctuary waving their palms. Be sure to RSVP your kids!

The Youth Summer Mission Trip will be July 17-21 in Savannah, GA! We will be staying on Tybee Island, and for our mission work, we will work with a local non-profit organization that contracts through the City of Savannah. Cost is $225.
