Texas at the Supreme Court!
Our Billboard Women See Coming From Texas
Greetings!

On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court held oral arguments on the Texas Heartbeat law that is saving babies there. As was clear from the argument, the justices are evaluating many complicated legal questions presented by the unique Texas law. The deliberation is not focused on the core constitutional question on abortion but rather the novel civil enforcement component of the Texas law and its relationship with state and federal courts. The core review of Roe v. Wade comes in the Dec. 1 oral argument in the Mississippi-based Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health case.

Regardless of the court's decision about the Texas case, the ultimate decision about the future of Roe v. Wade and abortion will come in the Mississippi case. The decision in that case is expected to be released in the summer of 2022.
Sadly, we know that women are coming from Texas to have abortions in Louisiana. We are striving to connect these women with resources and pregnancy centers to encourage them to choose life.

Above is our billboard between Lake Charles and Texas supported by our amazing Calcasieu billboard donors, led by Mary Wilkinson. This billboard is one in a series of billboards in Calcasieu Parish. Similar billboards will be coming soon in Shreveport, Acadiana, and Baton Rouge. Our goal is to cover the interstates in Louisiana with the pro-life message! You can support our billboard efforts by donating at this link and putting "Billboard" in the comments.

Lafayette Woman Sues State Over Judicial Bypass Law; Judge Grants TRO
A Lafayette woman has sued the state of Louisiana over the state's judicial bypass law, claiming it is a violation of parental rights. The woman filed the lawsuit in order to stop judges from authorizing her minor daughter to have an abortion against her parental consent. 15th Judicial District Court Judge Thomas Frederick granted a restraining order, barring the state from approving any request by a minor for an abortion over the objection of the minor’s parent until a hearing, which is scheduled today.

Calcasieu Woman Launches Pro-Life Billboard Campaign That is Spreading Statewide
Mary Guzzino Wilkinson brought herself to tears thinking about the oppression unborn babies may be up against following last fall's national elections and the success of pro-abortion candidates. She wanted to do something to educate others about the sanctity of human life, so she asked God what she could do in her small part of the world to show people the truth. "He consistently put on my mind,'A picture is worth a thousand words,'" Mary said. "As I continued to pray about it, He continued to repeat the same." Mary answered and began a huge billboard campaign in the Lake Charles area. That campaign is now spreading on interstates around Louisiana. "Think of the millions of times these messages will be viewed," she said. "Think of the conversations about life in the womb that will occur."
