Let The Luck Of The Irish Be With You

Come join Carolina Basset Hound Rescue in celebrating St. Pawtrick's Day!  If you are in or around the Raleigh area on Saturday, March 16th please join CBHR for a fun-filled day of all things Irish.  Put on your green, dress up your hounds and come march with us in the Raleigh St. Patrick's Day parade through lovely downtown! We will have a "pooped pup" for those hounds that may do the flat basset half way through.  If you can't walk in the parade please come cheer us on. As many of you know, there is nothing better than watching lots of bassets ambling down the street in formation; or at least basset formation! This is a great way to spread the word about rescue and bassets are always a crowd pleaser.

Our meeting spot (parade assembly area) is in the parking lot at the intersection of Wilmington St. and Lenoir St. There is a McDonald's across the way, and then you will see large groups gathering together in the big lot. Wilmington Street is parallel with Fayetteville Street and Lenoir Intersects the two.  The parade begins at noon, but the roads will be closing before that. To get decent parking, please arrive by 11am.  For those of you bringing hounds, don't forget an extra water bottle.  It's supposed to be a lovely day with a high near 70 degrees.

For those of you that have already ordered t-shirts, but have not picked them up they will be available that morning at the meeting spot.

For questions or more information about how to participate please contact Ashley Schaeffer.
