Weekly Prayer

praise_the_lord.jpg

Grant what we need each day in bread and insight:

subsistence for the call of

growing life.

Give us the food we need to grow

through each new day,

through each illumination of life's needs.

Let the measure of our need be earthiness:

give all things simple, verdant,

passionate.

Produce in us, for us, the possible:

each only-human step toward home

lit up.

Help us fulfill what lies within

the circle of our lives: each day we ask

no more, no less.

Animate the earth within us: we then

feel the Wisdom underneath

supporting all.

Generate through us the bread of life:

we hold only what is asked to feed

the next mouth.

Grant what we need each day in bread and insight.

Congratulations to Taisha Thompson, CCOP’s Office Administrator & Community Care Coordinator!

On Thursday, March 14th, Ms. Taisha Thompson was the guest speaker at McCauley Ministries’ Annual Fundraiser, Carry On. Several friends, family, and church members attended to hear her powerful speech. Her words were inspiring and beautiful. We are so proud that she is a part of Community Church!

We invite you to join us for a special Maundy Thursday service on March 28th at 6pm. This is a time for reflection and remembrance as we approach the Easter weekend. During the service, we will reflect on the Last Supper and Jesus' sacrifice for us. It's a meaningful and spiritual experience that you won't want to miss. We look forward to seeing you there and sharing this important time together.

You are welcome to join us for a special Easter Sunrise Service at Swan Point Cemetery at 6:30 on Easter morning. This event is hosted by Bethel AME Church, Providence Presbyterian Church, and Swan Point Cemetery. Following the service, there will be a time for fellowship and refreshments.

Family and Friends Summer Camp Registration

We want to encourage as many as possible to register for this week and attend together as a church. Scholarships are available from CCOP. Families stay together in retreat style or camping style accommodations, based on your preference, and all lodging and meals are included. It is a flexible camp week. We are free to join in any of the available activities like canoeing, swimming, and worship, or do our "own thing."

Spots tend to fill up in March, so if you are interested, please register as soon as possible. For scholarship information, email Pastor Sarah at ccop.srj@gmail.com.
