Write It, Polish It, Publish It: Join Us at These Poetry Writing Workshops

During the month of May, the Wintonbury Poetry Series celebrates its annual finale with two poetry workshops. If you have work you would like help finishing or would like some prompts to get you started, join us on May 16 and May 23.

These writing workshops are structured to address the key elements of writing and publishing your work. The first 30 minutes will be dedicated to writing. Prompts and writing time are provided. The next 45 minutes are dedicated to sharing and feedback. You can share one of the pieces you wrote in the first portion of the program, or bring copies of a poem or short prose to share. The last 15 minutes include an open discussion and advice about publishing.

Faith Vicinanza is a published poet and visual artist who has resided in Southbury since 2016. Ms. Vicinanza has published four books of poetry, and has three more in the works. She was a nominee for State Poet Laureate in 2000 and the recipient of the Connecticut Commission on the Arts Advocate for the Arts Award in 2003.
