Hello, Bloomfield! 2024 ushered in a new phase of our buildings project. With permits in hand, we started to knock down Prosser Library on January 3, and each day we are seeing pieces of the new library being built.
On January 24, we celebrated the forward momentum with an official groundbreaking ceremony. Thank you to all the people who joined us to commemorate the moment. We are currently working on finalizing plans for a renovated McMahon Wintonbury Library.
On March 12, we held an Open House at BPL Atrium to share our beautiful temporary space, highlight a variety of library services – including our wide array of free technology for public use, and share the current plans for McMahon Wintonbury Library with our community. Again, thank you to everyone who attended the Open House.
We are very invested in maintaining high levels of service during this time of transition and invite community input to help guide decision-making as the buildings project continues to move forward. To conclude, DRUM ROLL PLEASE, we recently completed our 2022-2023 Annual Report. We are very proud of the work BPL does on behalf of our deserving residents, and look forward to continued excellence and innovation moving forward. We’re still here for you!
