Join museum educator Natalie Belanger from the CT Historical Society who will take you on a tour of items from their collection representing a spectrum of the Black experience in Connecticut. Learn about Harlem Renaissance writer, Ann Petry. Examine daguerreotypes by Augustus Washington. Marvel at the costumes created by CT’s West Indian community. Come join the fun at our first ukulele storytime. It will be a sing and dance along! Ukulele music will be presented by Bruce Badner and some of his friends. Event will be held at Bloomfield Town Hall Council Chambers located at 800 Bloomfield Avenue. For Children and Families. | |

The town of Bloomfield encompasses more than 26 square miles and boasts around a hundred structures and sites of historic interest that date prior to 1900. In this presentation, we will look at examples of primarily domestic architecture in the Wintonbury Parish, with a focus on 18th and 19th century structures up until the Civil War.
