Don't Miss These Programs for Youth This Summer!

Our BPL staff are excited about all of the fun coming your way this summer!

One of our biggest events of the summer is BookCon. BookCon is a book conference designed specifically for kids, tweens, and teens. As they enter the Great Room at 330 Park, they are given a tote bag at the door that they can fill with their choice of free books and swag. Studies have proven that when youth select their own books for reading, they enjoy them more and are more likely to finish them, and we want kids and teens to love reading! After youth make their choices from 4-5:30 PM and 6-7 PM, adults and teachers are welcome to come in the final hour from 7-8 PM to make selections.

Another big summer highlight is the return of Tanglewood Marionettes for their presentation of Cinderella. And we're bringing Susie Maguire with her immensely popular touring show, "The Poop Museum," which puts the fun into educational programming.

But that's just the beginning of what we have to offer this summer. We have storytimes, Saturday field trip events at Auerfarm, making Fairy Houses, a Food Explorers program series for toddlers, competitive sport stacking, a variety of craft programs for teens, an 80th birthday party for Smokey the Bear, a visit from the Children's Museum of West Hartford with live endangered animals, an all-ages concert storytelling, yoga, and more!

Visit us at bplct.org for more information about FREE summer fun for youth!

SAVE THE DATE! Friday, June 28 (4-5:30 PM and 6-8 PM)

See bplct.org for full details about all programs offered this summer, or visit us at the Atrium to pick up one of our printed summer brochures!
