Museum Pass Access With Your Library Card

You probably know by now that your FREE Bloomfield Public Library card grants you access to materials from ANY CT public library. (You can also return any public library's materials to any other public library in the state.) But did you also know that you can typically get museum passes from any CT public library using your BPL card? Not only can you access our participating museums and zoos for free or discounted admission, but you can also access other libraries' as well. It’s always a good idea to call ahead and confirm.

Your library card can open doors and provide access to places of cultural interest as close as Hartford's Wadsworth Atheneum or West Hartford's Children's Museum and as far as the Zoo in Forest Park or MASS MoCA in MA. Here are some tips:

  • You will need your valid library card to reserve a pass. (Need a library card? Register here.)
  • You can reserve/print passes online or at the library.
  • Please call the library if you need assistance reserving a pass.
  • Passes may be reserved and printed up to 30 days in advance of your visit.
  • Passes are valid ONLY for the specific day reserved.
  • The following passes cannot be printed and must be picked up at BPL Atrium. They are subject to availability: CT State Park Centers & Historic Buildings Day Pass and Springfield Museums.
