The Libraries of Stevens County Board of Trustees will hold a conference call work session on Wednesday, August 7th at 9 a.m. Arrangements to provide reasonable accommodations or an interpreter will be made upon receiving seventy-two (72) hours advance notice. Dementia Information Session at the Colville Library
Every first Monday of the month, 2 - 3 pm (In person or via Zoom )
In this free, hour-long session, you will learn things like:
· What dementia is
· How to communicate with someone living with dementia
· Actions you can take to support people with dementia
· What to do if someone with dementia becomes agitated
An estimated 120,000 people in Washington state and 1100 people in Stevens County are living with dementia. Join the movement by becoming a dementia Friend!
Dementia Friends Information Session at the Loon Lake Library
Every first Monday of the month, 11 am - 12 pm at the Loon Lake Library

In this hour-long session, you will learn:
• What dementia is
• How to communicate with someone living with dementia

Join the Improvement Club on Saturday, August 10th, from 10am-1pm for their next book sale at the Colville Public Library. There will be lots of great items for sale including cookbooks, old books, and biographies, as well as DVDs and music CDs. Cash or check payments only, no cards. The meeting room entrance is located on the Southern side of the library along Astor Street. All proceeds help support library programming and community literacy!
