Valued Colville Partners,

Due to a 30% blood donation shortfall during the 4th of July holiday week, there is an immediate need for all types of blood donations with an emergency shortage of type 0 blood. Vitalant strives to maintain a minimum four-day supply of all blood types, but type O has recently dipped to less than two days on hand. Without increased donations

in the coming days and weeks, patient care could be delayed.

I'm emailing you to ask for your help. Attached is our poster with the QR code for Colville's next blood drive at the Ag Trade Center on Tuesday, 9/3/24. The drive will run from 11:15am through 4:45pm. Our goal is to fill 99 appointment slots and have a few additional donors on hand to fill in for people who may wind up sick or are unable to keep their appointments. Will you help us get the word out about this blood drive?

Below is a direct link to the blood drive that you can use to send out in emails to your friends, relatives, neighbors and anyone else who might be willing to donate. There is a QR Code on the poster that people can scan with their phones and make an appointment.

https://donors.vitalant.org/dwp/portal/dwa/appointment/guest/phl/timeSlotsExtr?token=ffFvifjM%2FyUUiHhwsPXs%2FhGAWB0jnzAmBEpRDviSJOM%3D

During this blood drive Vitalant is giving away Super Donor themed T-shirts to every donor PLUS a $10 Gift Card redeemable via our Donor Rewards Program. For more details: 2024 Super 80s Donor (vitalant.org)

Thanks for supporting Vitalant's mission to save lives. We appreciate you!

Butterfield 2024 Custom Home: Progress Amidst Challenges

Our team has been making significant strides on the Butterfield Custom Home despite some design challenges. Our in-house experts have completed the re-design work, and we are currently awaiting engineering approval for a large window wall, expected by August 25th. This delay is not impeding our schedule significantly, as our proactive crew has kept busy by pre-painting siding for the redesigned wall.

Additionally, we have undertaken the task of redesigning certain areas of the home, an effort often necessary when working with external designers. This redesign ensures the highest constructability and aesthetic standards. Our crew is also meticulously staining the home’s gorgeous exterior wood doors, enhancing its visual appeal.

Northeast Washington Artisans Craft Quilt for Veterans Project

Tri County Economic Development District will hold drawing in September

Aartisans, Judy Lockner of Colville and Valerie Lamont of Arden, have once again showcased their artistic talents by creating another lovely quilt for their ongoing Veterans Quilt project. Now in its seventh year, this project stands as a heartfelt tribute to the region's veterans, highlighting the duo's dedication to both their craft and the local community.

The latest quilt by Lamont and Lockner is proudly displayed at the Tri County Economic Development District (TEDD) office, located at 986 S Main, Suite A in Colville.

This creation is another example of their commitment to honoring veterans through the art of quilting.

Valerie Lamont, who began her quilting journey in 2012, draws inspiration from childhood memories of her grandmother sewing all her school clothes each summer. Lamont's passion for quilting has blossomed into a meaningful collaboration with Judy Lockner. Together, they engage in marathon quilting sessions, continually challenging themselves with new patterns and techniques.

The Veterans Quilt project invites veterans from the tri-county area to participate in a free drawing for a chance to win this beautiful quilt. Community members are also encouraged to enter on behalf of veterans they know. Entries can be submitted online at https://bit.ly/VeteransQuilt or in person at the TEDD office during regular office hours (Monday-Thursday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm).

The recipient of this latest Veterans Quilt will be determined through a drawing at the TEDD Board of Directors meeting on September 25th at 1:00 pm.

For more information and inquiries, please contact the Tri County Economic Development District at 509-684-4571 or visit www.tricountyedd.com.

About Tri County Economic Development District (TEDD): Tri County Economic Development District is committed to fostering economic growth and community development in the tri-county area, supporting initiatives that positively impact the local community.
