North Spokane…We Have Liftoff (and a new Pickup Partner*)
I had a good feeling as I walked into Lebanon Deli & Grocery this week. More on the visit later. For now, let’s welcome Yaz and his lovely store into the family of 395 Coffee pickup partners*.
Ferry County Too! - Welcome DJ’s Trading Post
Not to be overshadowed, DJ’s Trading Post—just across Lake Roosevelt—is now our northern outpost for pickup of online orders. A dynamic store under new ownership, DJ’s also has our coffee in stock (along with other great local products).
Bring the Smoke - First 395 Coffee Blend Launched
We’ve been in the lab playing with various bean and roast combinations that bring more enjoyment for folks who are less interested in origins than “just good coffee™”. The first of these blends, Diesel Smoke™, hit the highway this week. See “Product Spotlight” below for more.
Introducing Colombia - Our Newest Single Origin Coffee
This is a serious coffee but also a leading contender for the “crowd pleaser” title. With notes of sugar cane, plum, and strong chocolate, Colombia has a milder acidity (aka “brightness” or tartness) compared to some others. We bring out the sweetness and highlight the chocolate in our medium roast. This coffee might quickly become your favorite on cool fall mornings in your comfy chair or heading to work.
*a pickup partner is a convenient, local store when you can pick up your online order from 395 Coffee Roasters.

Opening the mailbox and finding a letter from your home insurance company can be a scary moment. There might be higher premiums waiting in that envelope or, even worse, the insurance version of a “Dear John” letter — a non-renewal notice.
On this episode of OIC Answers, policy analyst David Forte discusses why rates have gone up recently, how rating factors like location and construction type impact premiums, the availability of home insurance in Washington, what impact wildfires are having on the market, and whether or not your insurance company can use drones to check out your roof.

Butterfield 2024 Custom Home: Progress Amidst Challenges
Our team has been making significant strides on the Butterfield Custom Home despite some design challenges. Our in-house experts have completed the re-design work, and we are currently awaiting engineering approval for a large window wall, expected by August 25th. This delay is not impeding our schedule significantly, as our proactive crew has kept busy by pre-painting siding for the redesigned wall.
Additionally, we have undertaken the task of redesigning certain areas of the home, an effort often necessary when working with external designers. This redesign ensures the highest constructability and aesthetic standards. Our crew is also meticulously staining the home’s gorgeous exterior wood doors, enhancing its visual appeal.

Northeast Washington Artisans Craft Quilt for Veterans Project
Tri County Economic Development District
will hold drawing in September
Aartisans, Judy Lockner of Colville and Valerie Lamont of Arden, have once again showcased their artistic talents by creating another lovely quilt for their ongoing Veterans Quilt project. Now in its seventh year, this project stands as a heartfelt tribute to the region's veterans, highlighting the duo's dedication to both their craft and the local community.
The latest quilt by Lamont and Lockner is proudly displayed at the Tri County Economic Development District (TEDD) office, located at 986 S Main, Suite A in Colville.
| |
This creation is another example of their commitment to honoring veterans through the art of quilting.
Valerie Lamont, who began her quilting journey in 2012, draws inspiration from childhood memories of her grandmother sewing all her school clothes each summer. Lamont's passion for quilting has blossomed into a meaningful collaboration with Judy Lockner. Together, they engage in marathon quilting sessions, continually challenging themselves with new patterns and techniques.
The Veterans Quilt project invites veterans from the tri-county area to participate in a free drawing for a chance to win this beautiful quilt. Community members are also encouraged to enter on behalf of veterans they know. Entries can be submitted online at https://bit.ly/VeteransQuilt or in person at the TEDD office during regular office hours (Monday-Thursday, 8:00 am-4:00 pm).
The recipient of this latest Veterans Quilt will be determined through a drawing at the TEDD Board of Directors meeting on September 25th at 1:00 pm.
For more information and inquiries, please contact the Tri County Economic Development District at 509-684-4571 or visit www.tricountyedd.com.
About Tri County Economic Development District (TEDD): Tri County Economic Development District is committed to fostering economic growth and community development in the tri-county area, supporting initiatives that positively impact the local community.
