City Fair One Week Away, May 20

Come one, come all to the Colleyville City Fair! Join us for a family-focused, fun-filled event featuring carnival rides, games, a pie eating contest, food trucks, stilts walkers, face painters, balloon artists, award-winning attractions, petting zoos, and much more! The event will conclude with a spectacular fireworks show so mark your calendars and join us on May 20!

CCCPD Half-Cent Sales Tax Reauthorization Approved

While the May 6 Election results will be canvassed on May 16, all indicators point to the reauthorization of the Colleyville Crime Control and Prevention District (CCCPD) half-cent sales tax for an additional 20 years.

Public Service Recognition Week, May 7-13

Public Service Recognition Week, celebrated during the first full week of May since 1985, honors people who serve our nation as federal, state, county, local and tribal government employees.


City employees perform a wide range of duties across various fields including public safety, community development, building inspections public works, parks and recreation, court operations, and library services.

Fire Department Offers Free Pool Safety Assessments

With summer right around the corner, the Fire Department is offering free pool safety assessments to all residents. The evaluation is a comprehensive look at your safety plan and recommendations for improvements. The department has partnered with Cooks Children's Hospital network to provide life jackets and no cost CPR training. Each year almost 400 kids under 5 years old drown in pools. The Colleyville Police Department's Junior Police Academy is a great opportunity for the youth of Colleyville to learn what it takes to be a police officer. During this one week mini academy, students will gain knowledge of some of the functions their law enforcement professionals perform on a daily basis. The students will learn pertinent information that can affect them in their community. Officers of the Colleyville Police Department provide the students instruction on many different facets of the police profession including traffic stops, handling crime scenes, SWAT operations, and conducting building searches.


A written recommendation from a school official (teacher, principal, etc.) or a community leader (coach, pastor, etc.) and parental permission slip must be turned in to Officer Amy Beregszaszy at aberegszaszy@colleyville.com by Friday, May 26.

Instructed by Colleyville firefighters, campers get hands-on experience practicing the skills required to be a firefighter. Campers learn CPR, first aid, and how to use a fire extinguisher, as well as participate in fun firefighter activities like fire hose relays, using the jaws of life, and repelling.
