Hello, Topeka Collegiate families!

On behalf of the Topeka Collegiate Board of Trustees and our Development Committee, we thank you for your support during our 2023-2024 Annual Fund Drive. To date, we have raised over $52,750!

Many thanks to our dedicated crew of Class Captains, including Taylor Bremer, Jeffrey and Krysten Fogg, Michael Hooper, Shannon Little, Sarah Towle, and Grady Woodruff! We are grateful for your leadership and support. Congratulations are also due to Jeffrey and Krysten, who were the winners of our Primo Parking Spot drawing at the Halloween Assembly! Congratulations, as well, to our PreK class for reaching 100% participation. Mr. Flax looks forward to celebrating with all of the PreK students!

Our gratitude extends to each and every Topeka Collegiate family, who support our school in myriad ways. The time and resources that you share are what make Topeka Collegiate such an exceptional place for our children. Thank you for all that you do to support our school!

What will we talk about? School, current events, music, or whatever may be on your mind. All (adults) are welcome for casual conversation in an inclusive space. Not a coffee drinker, don’t worry! EDUCATE

Topics that support the Educate Pillar of the Strategic Plan, ensuring that we provide an unparalleled foundational education.

Get 4 Free COVID-19 Tests

Every U.S. household can order 4 more free COVID-19 self-tests. Self-tests (also called at-home tests and over-the-counter tests) are one of several tools that protect you and others by reducing the chances of spreading COVID-19. Self-tests can be taken at home or anywhere, are easy to use, and produce rapid results.

You can place an order:

  1. Online at COVIDTests.gov
  2. By calling 1-800-232-0233 (TTY 1-888-720-7489)
  3. By calling or emailing the Disability Information and Access Line (DIAL) at 1-888-677-1199 or DIAL@usaginganddisability.org (for people with disabilities)

Check out our Electronic Backpack for information about outside school events, opportunities, and resources.

CONNECT

Community Belonging Opportunities

We will begin sponsoring family affinity groups in connection with our school’s mission and values. What’s an affinity group? An affinity group is formed around a shared interest or common goal to which individuals formally or informally belong. If you are interested in joining or leading any group, please complete the Family Affinity Group Interest Form or email Leilani Grey.

They are now open to our community members to join.

We are thrilled to have the following two groups:

Eagle Eco Families - Led by Charlotte French (Claire, 3rd grade), this group will discuss our community's environmental challenges and work on solutions. They will collaborate with school leadership to assist in creating a more sustainable campus.

Eagle Families for Pride - Led by Dorcianna Cortez (Sydney, 1st, Aryiah, PreK), is a group to help connect all parents and students who identify with and are connected to the LGBTQ+ community and serves as a safe place for families to discuss issues unique to the LGBTQ+ experience.

SUSTAIN

Topics that support the Sustain Pillar of the Strategic Plan, ensuring a strong future through strategic investments.

We are independent, but truly, we are Interdependent. We appreciate your help in these key ways:

  • If you have positive things to say about Topeka Collegiate, tell others. If you have a concern, please tell us. Niche Reviews are an excellent way of sharing how we are able to prepare students for a successful future.
  • Like and Share our posts on your social media.
  • Volunteer in a classroom, at an event, and within Collegiate Kitchen.
  • Refer other families to us. Referrals are our number one way to grow!

An Update About the Sustain Campaign

We are deeply grateful to all of our donors, both near and far, who have generously contributed to our Sustain Campaign. We are excited to announce that we have raised over $5.3 million for construction, with just under 250 individual donors. We will continue to accept gifts for this transformational project, as all construction expenses must be paid by May 1, 2024, when our Building Addition will be complete.

We have some fantastic news to share with our community. As planned, the front entry, HVAC system, and majority of window replacements will be completed by the end of this calendar year. Let us celebrate this significant achievement together by organizing a ribbon-cutting ceremony and celebration of completion.

If you can help plan this special event, please let Dr. Rantz know before November 15.

Stay tuned for next week's update, and in the meantime, check out our Sustain Campaign Weekly 3 Updates.
