Greetings!

As September comes to a close, we hope you are staying safe and taking necessary precautions during the pandemic. CCS would like to provide you with some updates and exciting new club benefits!

Important updates:
  • During its virtual meeting on August 31, 2020 the CCS Advisory Board decided there will be no sanctioning of in-person pool meets until Dec. 31.
  • However, we will be opening up virtual meets on Oct. 15! Read more below.
  • Continue to visit the COVID-19 Resources page for updates and information.
2020 CCS VirtuALL Meet
Miss the butterflies in your stomach before a race? Looking for some motivation to train? You're in luck! CCS is excited to offer virtual meets starting on Oct. 15. As a way to introduce swimmers and clubs to the virtual meet format, CCS is hosting the 2020 CCS VirtuALL Meet starting tomorrow, Oct. 1, and running through Oct. 8!!

CCS clubs that are registered for the current season will be able to create, host, and attend virtual meets! Virtual meets will be created through the Club Assistant president portal starting October 15. Check out the tutorial!

CCS continues to encourage clubs and members to follow your state, federal, CDC, and university guidelines when participating in club activities. If your institution is shutting down facilities or limiting access, it is imperative that you adhere to those restrictions while assessing your options for club operations.

More guidelines and recommendations can be found on the resource page, including policies published by USA Swimming and U.S. Masters Swimming. CCS will be encouraging all clubs to follow the guidelines set forth by those institutions. If you have any questions related to club operations during this difficult time, please don’t hesitate to reach out to your Advisory Board representatives.
Workouts of the Week
With campus closures continuing across the country, many swimmers are taking their training to their home pools in gyms, recreation centers, or even the open water!

To help continue the training, CCS will be releasing weekly workouts on the homepage of the swimmer login.

Does your club have an annual workout? A famously hard set? A fun social hour set? Clubs are encouraged to get involved by sending in their own workouts to be featured in swimmer's accounts for one week, then archived in the Workouts tab to be used later! Submit the workout to collegeclub@usmastersswimming.org.

CCS is building up a workout library so no matter where teams are able to train, they can pull from some tried and tested sets from clubs across the country.
Club Registration
Although swimming may not be the priority for most right now, many of you are eager to get back in the water and engage with your club. The focus at CCS during this pandemic is to continue to support you any way we can.

For the 20-21 season, club registration dues have been reduced 30% for each club tier.

1 to 20 registered CCS swimmers = $175
21 to 50 registered CCS swimmers = $350
51+ registered CCS swimmers = $525

Club registration is open and can be completed at any point during the season on the club roster page. Don't forget, member registration cannot be completed until the club has registered and only registered clubs and members can participate in CCS virtual meets.
