The Prince William County Office of Elections is currently looking for individuals to serve as election officers in the upcoming Presidential Election in November. Election officers play a crucial role in the electoral process by ensuring that the voting process is fair, safe, and accurate and applicants should submit their applications as soon as possible. The stipend for this position is $200 for working one day, with Spanish speakers receiving a $25 bonus. Learn more at pwcvotes.org.

Howison Homestead Soccer Complex Groundbreaking Ceremony | |

On July 25, 2024, Supervisor Vega attended the Howison Homestead Soccer Complex groundbreaking ceremony in the Coles District.
Supervisor Vega's remarks on attending the ceremony: "What an exciting day for the Coles district and Prince William Courage! Today was the groundbreaking ceremony for the much-needed improvements to Howison Park. Looking forward to all the new amenities that will be added to the park. A special thank you to our amazing staff at Prince William County Parks & Recreation for their hard work on this project and Jane Beyer our appointee to the Parks & Rec Commission."
An expansion to the existing concession building will be constructed, adding approximately 1,200 square feet that will add public restrooms, team locker rooms, a storage room, large meeting room, in addition to park accessibility improvements and more. Howison Homestead Soccer Complex features 3 artificial turf soccer fields, 2 open play fields, 2 pavilions, 2 playgrounds, a Sports League Clubhouse and concession state with storage and a water fountain as well as .22 miles of walking trail.

Brentsville Road Interchange Ribbon Cutting Ceremony | |
In the Coles District, Supervisor Vega attended the Brentsville Road Interchange ribbon cutting ceremony on July 25, 2024, and stated "It’s been a long time coming and we’re so glad the rain held off, as we officially opened up the Brentsville Interchange. A $54.9 million dollar project that provides the traveling public with an interchange that connects route 234 bypass, Prince William Parkway, Dumfries Rd., and Brentsville Rd. Our district is home to the first pedestrian and bike bridge in Prince William County! Thank you to Joe Marshall, our appointee to the Trails and Blueways Council, to our Department of Transportation and The Northern Virginia Transportation Authority for their hard work and fully funding this project." | |
Woodbridge Seventh-day Adventist Church Groundbreaking Ceremony | |
Supervisor Vega attended the Woodbridge Seventh-day Adventist Church groundbreaking ceremony on July 14, 2024, she congratulated Pastor Dr. Max Ferguson, the First Lady, and the entire congregation on reaching this major achievement. | |
Restricted Parking Areas Ordinance
| Residents can request the creation of restricted parking areas. The Board of County Supervisors (BOCS) can establish restricted parking areas for any or all of the following: watercraft, boat trailers, motor homes, and camping trailers. Entire communities as well as sections of roads can be considered as restricted parking areas. To be eligible, community support must exist and the roads under consideration must be part of the state’s secondary road system. | |
