CHAMBER UPDATES | JUNE 28, 2024
Chamber Leaders-
Do you have a favorite Summertime song? Do the lyrics ring in your head as you roll down the highway? As many of you know, I lived the majority of my life in the Chicago area and still have plenty of family there. I was able to see the band "Chicago" in concert twice "back in the day"... Sing with me...please...
Saturday...in the park, I think it was the 4th of July.
People dancing, people laughing
A man selling ice cream, Singing Italian songs...
Here in Colerain, we celebrate the 4th of July with Fireworks, food trucks, and music in the large field next to the township hall (on Springdale Rd.) on July 3rd. This year, there will be beer sales and another chance to dunk me and other local celebrities in the "Dunk Tank"...good thing it's not a Shark Tank, right? 🙂 Of course, the 4th of July also brings the Pray-Hope-Believe 5K run, and at Noon on the 4th, we'll have our annual Vintage Baseball game, all of which are detailed below.
This year, we celebrate the opening of new businesses in our community; PetVet365, CinFed, and now Phantom Fireworks is open in the old Pep Boys building. We welcome businesses of all types and hope that many other diverse businesses are attracted to our community and invest in Colerain.
Finally, thank you to all who supported our 2024 Hometown Hero event just a couple of weeks ago. We had record attendance and participation, wonderful promotion from Fox19NOW where we celebrated twelve amazing veterans in our community. There are plenty of pictures available from the event, and there is already interest in next year's event! Be sure to pick up a copy of the Colerain Chamber 10th Anniversary magazine in the lobby of either CVS Pharmacy (Colerain Ave or Hamilton Avenue) or find it online HERE
Please have a wonderful 4th of July holiday, travel and summer vacation, and family time together. Plug into the various Colerain Chamber of Commerce opportunities as you have time.

From the team at A&R trailers, we’re excited to be a part of the chamber and meet everyone, as well as further develop the relationships with those of you we’ve already met! We’ve been in business since 1983, selling and repairing trailers, as well as installing the hitches necessary to tow them. We can work on anything that involves towing, and virtually any equipment smaller than a tractor trailer. We are currently breaking ground on a new building so that we can expand our offering, and further assist our local businesses and contractors! We’re excited to be on this journey and couldn’t have arrived at this point without the support of this fiercely loyal community. That’s why we couldn’t be more excited to get involved and be a part of the Colerain Chamber of Commerce!

Colerain Chamber 2024 Hometown Hero Event
Take a moment and view this short heartwarming video of our veterans, produced by Griffin Meyer our local Colerain HS/Butler Tech Student from interviews he and Beth Jones conducted.
This year, we partnered with local senior living facilities and community members to honor our local veteran heroes, ensuring their sacrifices are never forgotten.
We recognized the bravery and service of many outstanding individuals, including three World War II veterans, two Purple Heart recipients, two remarkable women, and several other courageous soldiers. Their stories and sacrifices remind us of the freedoms we enjoy today.
The sold-out event was held at the beautiful Willow event center. The atmosphere was vibrant, and the support from everyone made the evening truly special.
We extend our heartfelt gratitude Emery Federal Credit Union, Everest Financial, Inc. and Rumpke Waste & Recycling as our generous Event Sponsors!
Cincinnatus Savings and Loan was our bar sponsor and Duke Energy was our Silver Level sponsor. Thank you, Herrmann Services, Rock Solid Construction for your Support sponsorship. Thank you to our many generous donors to our silent auction, especially Geraci Fine Jewelry!

to foster more meaningful connections and collaboration. Our tasty box lunches were from Mill Town Market.

This month’s Colerain HOPE meeting was hosted by the Colerain Senior Center. We thank Nora for sharing all about the senior center and Nikki talking about all the Clippard Family YMCA to the 25 different non-profit representatives in attendance.
The Colerain Senior Center enriches lives and builds a healthy spirit, mind, and body. The center has 400 members that stay active through many weekly activities
Our special guest speaker was Scott Marston with Cincinnati Benefit Solutions. Scott spoke of the Blue Cross/Blue Shield Health Care plans available to Colerain Chamber members. This partnership can save you money on your plan costs. If a nonprofit belongs to the Colerain Chamber they can take advantage of these great health care plans just like businesses can.
