Congratulations to Jennie Buckwalter, Dean's Office, who was named one of the Top 25 Women to Watch by the Better Business Bureau's Women in Business Networking (WiBN) program.
The Top 25 Women to Watch signature event embodies one of the mission tenets of WiBN to help women build careers and personal success through recognition for their work and service to their community. Nine Wright State graduates were also named to the 2018 class, and seven of them were CoLA alumnae:
Kudos to Phi Mu Alpha, Wright State's music fraternity. This year, for the first time, Phi Mu Alpha participated in the Student Government Association program called SOAR. SOAR is a challenge for student organizations to encourage them to strive for excellence. Student organizations are rated on a 5 Tier system based on achievements in different categories of criteria which include campus engagement, interactions with other student organizations, philanthropic endeavors, and service hours. Phi Mu Alpha was one of only nine student organizations to reach Tier 5 this year, placing it in the top 10% of student organizations on campus.
I hope you will join us for our 2018 Outstanding Graduating Students Awards Ceremony next Friday, April 27 at 2:00 p.m. in Schuster Hall. I always look forward to celebrating our best and brightest students at this event. Congratulations to this year's honorees:
