New Biorepository Shared Specimens Project

The Biorepository Core of the ICTR in the process of creating a shared repository of biospecimens linked to clinical data (Einstein-Montefiore BioSHARE). These specimens will be available to all investigators at our institution who submit an approved request. This will be an extremely valuable resource for all investigators and will foster interdisciplinary collaborations across the translational research spectrum.

We will be asking PIs to donate stored specimens to this initiative and also plan on prospectively identifying sample aliquots for inclusion in BioSHARE. Please direct any questions to Dr. Matthew Abramowitz, Scientific Core Director of the Biomarker and Biorepository Core.

Congratulations, Dr. Keller!

Einstein recently announced that ICTR Director Dr. Marla Keller has been named Executive Dean of the institution. Dr. Keller has been co-PI of the CTSA award at Einstein and Montefiore since 2016 and was most recently interim senior associate dean for clinical and translational research. She previously served as vice chair of research in the department of medicine. The ICTR congratulates Dr. Keller on her leadership position and we wish her well in her new role!

Ask Us About Our Resources

The Institute for Clinical and Translational Research will be tabling monthly on Main Street with a goal of educating and promoting the ICTR resources and cores. Make sure to stop by and grab some ICTR swag!

The ICTR offers high-quality and comprehensive training and career development programs for current and future clinical and translational research professionals. We also foster team-based collaborations and strong partnerships with the Bronx community, key stakeholders, and other CTSA hubs to overcome the barriers in turning discoveries in the laboratory, clinic, and community, into health benefits for all.
