May Update 2024

Hello!

The school year is winding down and summer is on the horizon! Hope your family is starting to plan some nice getaways or adventures to the beach, the park, or maybe a favorite campground or vacation spot. Don't forget to include your child in the planning -- it's a great way to model and teach executive function skills!

Please note, if your student is struggling and needs help getting to the "finish line" this month, reach out soon and work with our educational specialists to get them on track. In addition, our educational psychologists are available over the summer if you are considering having psychoeducational testing done before the next school year begins. This is an excellent time to begin this process, because it's really helpful to have rating scales completed for the assessment by teachers who have worked with your student for many months and know your child well.

Please read on for more information about other upcoming clinic happenings and contact us if you have any questions.

Have you heard the news?

We've reduced our wait time for new appointments!

We have recently hired new excellent clinicians and specialists to help families get the care they need sooner! When parents and caregivers have concerns about their child, it is a terrible feeling to have to wait and wait for appointments. Thanks to our new approach for scheduling, we currently have new patient appointment availability only weeks away, instead of many months!

Our admin team has been reaching out to everyone on our wait-list. If you haven't responded yet, please call us (408.358.1853) to arrange an intake appointment. We can help you address any developmental, behavioral, or learning concerns you have about your child.

Mind Lab for Struggling Students

As the school year nears the end of the semester, if you find your student needing intensive educational therapy, please seek help in our Mind Lab.

The CDM Mind Lab provides specialized support for students, age 13-20, who need immediate assistance managing their school work. The intent of the Mind Lab is to teach students how to be productive learners, it is not a tutoring program for specific school subjects.

Click on the flyer for more details and contact the clinic if you'd like to discuss placement for your child.
