Two churches in the diocese have recently concluded their search processes for open clergy positions. Join us in welcoming two new priests and their families to the Episcopal Diocese of the Central Gulf Coast!

St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Andalusia, Alabama, is pleased to announce that the Rev. Eric Mancil has accepted the call to be their new rector. His first Sunday will be January 8, 2023.


Eric is currently serving as rector for The Episcopal Church of the Holy Spirit in Alabaster, AL, and has served them since June 2019. He has also served as rector for St. Catherine's Episcopal Church in Chelsea, AL.


Eric and his wife, Chelsea, are from our area. Eric grew up in Enterprise and Chelsea in Opp. They both attended Auburn University and Eric received his Master in Divinity from Virginia Theological Seminary.

St. Jude's Episcopal Church in Niceville, Florida, is pleased to announce that the Rev. Blake R. Hutson has accepted the call to be their new rector. His first Sunday will be January 15, 2023.


Blake is currently the rector of Holy Apostles Church in Hoover, AL, and has served them since May 2012. He has also served as assistant rector at Episcopal churches in Tucson, AZ, and Moorestown, NJ.


Blake and his wife, Christina, have a seven-year-old son named Wes. They are looking forward to moving to Niceville and being able to have their son enter school in January after the Christmas break.
