Avelo announces nine new routes from Wilmington Airport
County Executive Matt Meyer joined state and airport officials for the announcement of nine new flight routes on Avelo Airlines from Wilmington Airport. Avelo is expanding their service after just two months at ILG. The new routes expand service to Florida and include destinations in North and South Carolina, Tennessee and Georgia. Author Mary Roach speaks at Chase Center on the Riverfront
New Castle County's annual NCC Reads event was held over Thursday evening and Friday morning at the Chase Center on the Riverfront in Wilmington. On Thursday night "Fuzz" author Mary Roach discussed the book for over 1,000 guests and on Friday morning discussed her writing process and offered insight to the book's origins at a Q&A breakfast held at the Chase Center as well.
Great Schools, Clean Streams Champions awarded prizes
New Castle County Executive Matt Meyer visited St. Peter the Apostle and Brandywine Springs School on Friday to deliver checks to the winners of the annual Great Schools, Clean Streams program. Officials cut ribbon at LACC, County Exec announces support funding
County Executive Matt Meyer joined federal, state and city officials at the Latin American Community Center in Wilmington to cut the ribbon on a new playground at the infant and youth center.
