We definitely had an actioned packed week with two big community events. The students enjoyed meeting Governor Rauner and Congressman Shimkus at Stadium Grill and honed their networking skills at the
"Our Town" Community at Unique Suites Hotel.  It was wonderful to welcome Susan Hanfland, (who helped bring this program to life) and alum Colton Anderson to class.

Susan Hanfland of SCH Consulting reviewed some of the lessons learned in PX2 and showed the students some breathing techniques and exercises to help de-stress and focus.

Gov. Rauner patiently took selfies with the students, then later discussed the Turnaround budget and his hope to get a budget in place soon.

Kaitlyn presented Congressman Shimkus with a ClassE mouse pad and thumb drive.
ClassE alum, Colton Anderson, spoke to class about how the time management and entrepreneurial skills learned in ClassE has really helped him succeed in college. He is on the football team at Concordia College and is studying business in the hopes to be a financial planning or possible entrepreneur.

Other mentors from Wells Fargo Advisors also hosted their students at the breakfast.
Dan Corrie of Corrie Appraisal spoke to the students about business appraisals, and all the factors that are considered when valuing a business or property. He also knows the per footage rental prices in Coles County based on the area.
