Distinguished Alumni Charlie Grandy Offers Advice to Graduates
"I think it's important to recognize that all of us...and I mean all of us, no matter how bright, talented, athletic, good-looking, skilled or otherwise equipped we may be for the future...face doubts and insecurities at various points in life (often with good reason). In spite of those moments, I encourage you not to let your doubts and insecurities dissuade you from exploring your interests, passions or even an area about which you're uncertain. Try something, set your pride aside, be willing to fail even if you've given everything you have (and eager to push yourself to your limits)."
~Charlie Grandy, Class of 1983

UPTON 6th Grade Field Trip
Blue Paradox Exhibit
Museum of Science and Industry
"The kids learned so much about plastic in the oceans which enhanced our unit of study in English Language Arts, Our Changing Oceans. The students made so many connections with the wonderful science exhibits. We wanted to share our appreciation of the Foundation grant to support this 6th grade trip."
