Here are a few key reasons for implementing care plan documentation:
Reason #1 - Realizing workflow efficiencies in your pharmacy
This includes your ability to:
- Decrease the number of interruptions a productive staff member receives
- Improve patient care coordination amongst entire staff (this includes decreasing the number of misses that impact a patient who is standing in front of you)
- Increase the quantity of time you have available to provide patient care by documenting a care plan versus tracking down staff members to help understand the full problem
Reason #2 - Increasing the likelihood of securing a a new payer opportunity or continuing an existing payer opportunity
- Stay tuned for the next edition of CPESN U (out on June 26th) to learn more about the reasons why adopting care plan documentation is so important.
If you have not submitted a care plan yet, please submit a care plan by June 30, 2019.
