Hello, Friends-

A lot of people we talk to are anxious about the future. We get it. People are concerned about their loved ones – and also about the world we are living in.

And yet…

Every day, we meet people who shine with an unshakeable sense of possibility. In the work we do at Civity, we get just a glimpse of a wave of people all over the country – all over the world – who are taking action to make their communities better and kinder. They have asked themselves, “What is something I can do?” And then they do it.

Here are some organizational partners we’ve worked with this year:

• In This Together, Citizens’ Climate Lobby, Braver Angels, Bluegrass Greensource, and Midwest Climate Collaborative – working on generating constructive responses to climate change;

• The National Leadership Network and Association of Leadership Programs – supporting and training emerging and existing leaders all over the country;

• Center for Rural Affairs and Civic Nebraska – addressing local challenges and building strong communities in rural America; and

• Public agencies, philanthropies, businesses, and community organizations working to address the housing crisis in the San Francisco Bay Area

Within each of these organizations are amazing individuals whose stories of connection and hope continually inspire us.

As 2023 draws to a close and 2024 dawns, we want to thank you. Knowing that this civity community is out there matters a lot to us.
